 Cases of Covid-Omicron sub-variant BF.7 in India: At least four cases of Omicron sub-variant BF.7 have been detected in India so far, apparently causing the current surge in Covid cases in China, official sources said on Wednesday. In October, the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Center identified the first case of BF.7 in India. So far, two cases have been reported from Gujarat, while one case has been reported from Odisha, they said.   According to the Gujarat Health Department, two patients were reported to have received the BF.7 and BF12 variants of Omicron in July-October-November 2022.
